Christmas time is full of fabulous parties and social occasions, but what to wear?

Sequins
Dresses that dazzle to gorgeously glittering gown are top are ideal for the party season. If you opt for this look then you definitely want to make  a grand entrance.

1) For the eyes apply Urban Decay Cream eyeshadow to the lid and then use Benefit’s Magic ink liner to create a graphic outline on the top and bottom lash line.

2) Next, apply Star by Julien Macdonald Glitter Eye Lash Set for extra dazzling lash power.

3) Add a slight flush of colour to apples of your cheeks with Clarins Blush Subtil Highlighter.

4) For a kissable pout coat the lips with a shiny tinted lip gloss.

Opulence
Nothing says glamour like opulent jacquard and brocade textures. These glam fabrics are sure to bring out your inner princess.

Makeup tips for this look…
Pick out a sequin colour from your dress e.g. silver, gold, orange and choose Illamasqua’s metallic eyeshadow that matches or complements the shade. Apply to the whole lid for eye-catching results. volumise those lashes with Estee Lauder’s Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting mascara.

2) Use Givenchy  kohl  eye contour pencil to create a graphic outline on the top and bottom lash line and create a feline flick to the outer corners. Go over the top with Dior’s precision liquid liner for intensity. Finish with a few coats of mascara.

3) Add a slight shimmer to the face with Dior ultra shimmering all over face powder.

4) If you’re  dress is full-on opulent then choose a lipstick that is slightly understated but luxurious such as Clinique Long last Lipstick in soft muted colours. If you dress is subtly opulent then go for an on-trend makeup look with a bold lip colour such as Lancome L’absolu Rouge.

Velvet
Velvet s the texture of the season and ideal for making a red carpet entrance to Christmas cocktail parties or more formal style occasions.

1) Create a flawless base with  Lancome Teint Miracle Foundation

2) The eyes are the focus of this look so go for full on smokey eye using Estee Lauder Signature Eyeshadow Duo in Black Moon. Finally apply mascara.

3) Keep cheeks bare and just highlight with a Smashbox Halo bronzer hydrating powder.

4) Go for full on red lips. Use Natio smooth lip liner to outline the lips as this will stop the colour from bleeding.

Lace
Luxe lace looks great combined with military style jackets for a modern gothic look.

1) Don’t detract attention away from the lace detailing of your dress. Keep your makeup minimalist. Use Cinique airbrush concealer to even out the skin tone and then apply bareMinerals Matte SPF15 Foundation.

2) Outline the top and bottom lashes with eyeliner and apply mascara.

3) If you feel you need eyeshadow then apply a subtle coat of shimmer with Clinique Colour Surge Eye Shadow Super Shimmer.

4) The lips is what you should focus on the most for this look. Use lipsticks in shades of charred red, smokey purple, deep violet, copper browns and midnight blues for an uber trendy party style.
