St Tropez Trend Alert
At Roksanda Ilincic Autumn/Winter 2013 show, St Tropez defined a new trend in skin finishing with a rosy radiance that set the contours of the body alight.
1950s housewives with a dark side prepared to don the dusty pink PVC coats, embellished dresses and burgundy furs and St.Tropez Tanning and Skin Finishing Expert Jules Heptonstall allowed the counter play of good versus evil to tip over onto the skin.
“Imagine the warmth and beauty of Grace Kelly meets the haunted vibe of Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow,” says Jules. “We bespoke blended a sheer veil of colour to add warmth then applied light reflecting pink highlights to complement the tones in the collection and create the effect of the clothes becoming one with the body”.
By mixing St Tropez Instant Wash Off Glow Lotion with the new St.Tropez Tan Enhancing Body Moisturiser (Coming Soon) then patting on two generous layers of the Rose Illuminator, Jules added a subtle luminosity to bare shoulders, shins and collarbones that took perfect skin finishing to a new level for the new season.
RECREATE THE LOOK:
1. Mix a small amount of the St Tropez Instant Wash Off Glow Lotion into double the amount of the new St.Tropez Tan Enhancing Body Moisturiser – COMING SOON.
2. Apply using a mitt in long, upward strokes and allow to absorb for five minutes.
3. Use your fingers to pat lashings of the St Tropez Rose Illuminator onto the fronts of the arms, shins, the collarbones and knuckles. Wait it for it to sink in and then add a second layer.
4. Rather than blending the Illuminator in completely, use a dual fibre brush to gently buff around the edges of the highlighted sections to create a soft, luminous glow.
