Two-Tone your makeup
This season experiment with your makeup with two-tone looks for the cheeks, lips and eyes.
Add a 3 dimensional glow to your cheeks by layering a bronzer over your cream blusher. Apply the bronzer around the sides of your face – start at the temples and work down to the upper cheekbones and towards the jawline creating a ‘3 shape’ along the sides of your face. Then layer your cream blusher along the apples of your cheeks so it sits on top of the bronzer.
I recommend: Smashbox creamy cheek colour, Clinique Blushwear Cream Stick, Clarins Bronzing Powder Compact, Givenchy Prismissime Visage, Benefit One Hot Minute
Line the outer lips with a darker shade of lipstick or lip liner. This graphic outline contours and defines the lip shape to make them look fuller. Use a lighter shade from the same colour family and fill in the rest of the lips. For instance if you use a deep pink to the outer lips, shade in the top and bottom of the lips with a light pink.
As you know I like to make the eyes the focus of any makeup look. Two-toning the eyes adds drama and makes them stand-out. Use an eyeshadow palette with two complementary shades. Apply to the whole of the eyelid up to the brow bone. Start by using the darker shade and create a winged shape to the outer corners. Apply the lighter shade to the inner part of the eye and finish off with mascara to the lashes.
