A vintage year for the men’s red wine trend

At this time of the year, when the days are short and the evenings are long, when the chill is back in the air and the overcoat is back on the coat stand and a glass of red wine goes perfectly with dinner. But the dining table isn’t the only place red wine can be found at the moment, it’s also all over men’s fashion.
The traditional colours of the autumn winter season are, of course, black, brown, grey and dark blue, but this year, there’s a new hue in town. Oxblood, wine, burgundy and maroon are everywhere this season.
It’s the versatility and adaptability of the colour that makes it such a great wardrobe addition. It goes perfectly with dark denim and grey knitwear plus a burgundy shirt with a black suit is very stytlish solution for office parties and Winter weddings.
A maroon or wine coloured accessory can really add to an outfit and they also make great gift ideas. This Fred Perry maroon shoulder bag is my personal favourite (hint, hint). Our collection of shoes and boots for men includes a great range of subtle red tones that will add on-trend cool to any outfit.
So if you’re looking to inject a bit of stylish colour into your winter wardrobe remember plenty of wine your fashion glass will always be half full. Now, time for me to put a cork in it I think and it’s over to you…
