A sneak peek at what's coming up at Debenhams this Autumn/Winter

Everyone who’s anyone in the world of fashion from journalists to stylists (including the fabulous Mark Heyes, celebrity stylist to the stars), photographers to editors all flocked to the Debenhams Press Show recently for a sneak preview of next season’s hottest trends.

The usually bland office space above the head office building was transformed into a glamorous showcase of all things shiny and new. The highlights for me were definitely the Designers at Debenhams collections; one of the strongest I’ve seen with absolute ‘wow’ factor.

From structured tailoring to voluminous cuts and luxurious fabrics to fine detailing plus a nod to the glamorous 1980s by Star by Julien MacDonald, I almost feel that the new season can’t come quick enough – almost!

And there’s lots of great stuff for the guys. I walked round with freelance Stylist Anthony McGrath, who has worked on the hottest lad mags including Loaded, and he told me what men need to look out for in Autumn/Winter 2009:

Stylist tips:

1) If you’re looking for a ‘proper man’s wardrobe’ the Rocha.John Rocha collection is menswear at its absolute finest. Every piece focuses on quality and wearability and includes the most unbelievably fantastic knitwear styles to super-stylish outerwear.

2) Ben Sherman suiting is cut to absolute perfection. If you’re in need of a suit then here’s where you’ll find one.

3) For classic British styling, J by Jasper Conran is simply beautiful. Great cuts, tailoring and fabrics from jackets to trousers and shirts to tops, will enable you to build the perfect capsule wardrobe.

4) Urban street wear doesn’t get better than St George by Duffer. If you’re looking for great casual style with exceptional design focus then you’ll love the new collection.

If you’re anything like me and already thinking about what style to go for next season then let me assure you, the new trends are to die-for.

We will be previewing the Debenhams Autumn/Winter 09 trends in the coming weeks so be sure to check back. If not, follow us on Twitter and we’ll let you know when the trends become available to view and buy.
