With award season now in full swing and the ultimate ceremony, The Oscars, fast approaching, we’ve decided to showcase our favourite style stars of the red carpet. After all, every fashionista knows it’s less about the golden statuettes – and all about the paparazzi flashbulbs…
First up, our ‘Best Dressed’ award simply has to go to Nicole Kidman, with many a head turning look having being recently rocked by the Aussie actress. At the Grammy Awards she glittered in gold, looking beautiful in blue at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. just one week earlier.
Get the Look: To work Nicole’s golden girl style, we suggest the Cinderella dress from Phase Eight – with similar semi-sheer detail – for similar stunning style. Finesse gold droplet earrings and Mood bangles work well as accessories, while a splash of Nails Inc. Saville Row polish on your finger tips will add that perfect finish – the ‘golden’ touch, one might say.
Get the Look: Vamp it up in Nicole’s true blue style with our gorgeous Debut sparkling gown – with sexy cowl neck back – and ankle strap black heels from No. 1 by Jenny Packham.
For the awards of ‘Best Dressed – Supporting Role’, Megan Fox, Jessica Chastain and Taylor Swift have all turned our heads on the red carpet. Megan, traditionally an actress know for being sultry and sexy, Ms Fox showed us how easily she can do dainty and demure as she arrived for The Golden Globes. As for Jessica, the star of this year’s hot contender, Dark Zero Thirty, impressed us with her bold and beautiful style at The Baftas, while Taylor looked regal in purple, also seen at The Golden Globes.
Get the Look: The vibrant fashion sense of Jessica Chastain is easy to achieve, with the – exclusive to Debenhams – Desideria maxi dress from Coast. Team with bangles and earrings, just like Jess. We recommend this beautiful Butterfly by Matthew Williamson bangle and blue droplet Finesse earrings.
Get the look: Taylor always looks fabulous on the red carpet but, this season, she appears to be leaving behind her prom pretty, typical girlie style, turning instead to old-school, sophisticated glamour. You can glam it up too, with this gorgeous purple gown from Debut, with sparkling diamond-look earrings, from Star by Julien Macdonald, to complete the old-Hollywood look.
