Boost your Cleansing Regime
If you want your skin to glow naturally and your make up to look effortlessly flawless, then vamp up your cleansing routine.

Skincare Guru, Ole Henriksen once told me that, ‘Cleansing is one of, if not THE most important part of any skincare routine. You wouldn’t shower or bathe, and the same should apply for cleansing your skin. That’s how important it is’.

We know that time is not always on your side but we also know that by spending a few moments to properly cleanse your skin, you can get the results you’ve always wanted. And, with so many great products on the market, you cleanse-and-go within just a matter of minutes.

SerumsFrom left to right: Lancome Advanced Genefique Serum, balance Me face serum, Clinique Custom Smart Serum, Clarins Double Serum

Introduce a Serum
Serums are more concentrated than moisturisers and the lightweight texture penetrates deeper into the skin so it acts like a treatment that addresses some of your most common skincare concerns including fine lines, and wrinkles. For best results use twice daily and apply under a moisturiser for double the action.

PrimersFrom left to right: Make Up For Ever Skin Equalizer, Laura Geller Mattifying Primer, Clinique, Superprimer Colour Corrects, Too Faced Primed & Poreless

Perfect & Prime
Guaranteed, no matter how much you prep for the occasion, your skin seems to have other ideas. Whether it’s redness, enlarged pores, dullness or oily breakthroughs, don’t be beaten, you can now find a selection of primers especially designed to target these issues so that you can refine, smooth and even out the skin tone before applying your make up.

Conceal and Reveal
Radiant skin has fast-become a buzz word in the beauty industry. Even Kim Kardashian ditched her full-on make up look for a no make up make up look in a recent photoshoot with Spanish Vogue. The trick to getting the look right, is to use a concealer to hide blemishes, dark circles and other skin imperfections. If you need more coverage apply a light coverage foundation or a tinted moisturiser. Then, dab a touch more concealer under your eyes and blend to make them look wider and brighter. Remember, less is more so avoid any heavy application.

highlighters

Highlight & Blush
To really lift your face use a highlighter under the browbone, on the forehead, down the bridge of the nose and on the cheeks, on the cupids bow and on the chin. This will help you to get an enviable glow in places that the light naturally hits. For an extra bit of lift, apply a light dusting of powder blush or a dab of creme blush to the apples of the cheeks.

Top Tip: Look out for waterproof make up so that your make up stays put for longer in warmer climes. Alternatively, spritz on Urban Decay’s All Nighter Setting Spray.
