Behind the scenes at Britain’s Next Top Model Live

I spent this past weekend dashing about backstage at Britain’s Next Top Model Live, an event perfect for fans of the show and fashion aficionados alike. Alongside the main catwalk show, featuring some of the gorgeous models from the hit TV series, there was a packed programme of style experiences, music appearances and workshops to inspire visitors.
Diana Vickers and Eliza Doolittle gave guests a treat with special live performances and the lovely Emma Willis, host of the Kiss catwalk area, was on hand to grill them about their style. She also did an on-stage interview with Charley Speed – swoon!
I was there creating a high street catwalk look for the Motorola Flipout sponsored event and the theme was geek chic, very apt considering I’m a bit of a geek myself. My outfit is modelled here by Models 1 new face, Sophie. If you want to steal the look, the camel roll neck with cable knit sleeves from Rocha.John Rocha and fab colour-blocked satchel from Betty Jackson.Black are available online at debenhams.com (while stocks last).
Other bloggers taking part included Swell Vintage, Natasha Bailie, Fashion Daydreams, Alize Morand and Matthew Zorpas (voted 2nd best dressed man in the UK by Esquire magazine). What a lovely and talented bunch they all are. Be sure to check out their blogs when you’ve got some time to kill.
It wasn’t all hard work though, I did get a chance to snap some celebs and get some behind-the-scenes pics for you all to ogle. Who was your favourite model from the show and will you be working the geek chic look this season?
