Behind the scenes: Principles by Ben de Lisi

The waiting is almost over, you’ll soon be able to buy the stunning Principles by Ben de Lisi collection at Debenhams.

When I heard that Principles was coming back I was quite excited. I always loved the classy, sophisticated daywear that the brand was known for. Knowing Ben de Lisi is now at the helm has only fuelled my enthusiasm. Ben has such a passion for design it can only do wonderful things for the collection and he’s put in some modern twists too to keep things fresh and interesting.

I was there when Debenhams revealed the collection to the press last week and we’ve invited you to have a sneak peak behind the scenes with our catwalk video. There were treats of rainbow coloured macaroons and beautiful iced cupcakes around the room and we even spotted a couple of celebrity faces too – Graham Norton and Alan Carr!

    AT LAST, CAN’T WAIT UNTIL PRINCIPLES IS BACK! THIS HAS MADE MY YEAR!

    So glad that Principles is back! However, I don’t see any mention of ‘Petite’ collections – they were the best on the hight street. Please, please include ‘Petite’ collections in the future. Petite is not about size but about proportions, shorter sleeves, narrower sholders, dresses that fit in the right places, etc.

    Thanks for your comment Jayne, we couldn’t agree more about petites so you’ll be glad to find out that there is a full petite’s collection with exclusive prints and colours.

    I’m sooooooooo happy priniples petite is back!

    I’m a bit disappointed with the new Principles range. The Principles of old had a lot more high fashion items and garments which looked that little bit different. I think it’s a bit safe now.

    Thanks for your feedback Anna, I’ve just been to our press show and seen the AW10 collection and there are some really cool pieces coming up. Hopefully there’ll be something more up your street when the new styles hit down.
