The moment has finally arrived: our five lucky Blue Zoo winners have finally been announced!
Ashton Lance Pencheon, Lili Raine Barnes, Joseph Pinto, Aliyah Stevens and Lennon Organ were plucked out of the 20 finalists at a grand final event at the London Zoo.
With over 6,000 children entering the nationwide search and after 125,000 online votes, our gorgeous new faces of Blue Zoo were chosen by the esteemed panel of judges including Loose Women’s Andrea McLean, Mark Heyes, and Busy Kid’s modelling agency MD Debbie Clark.
Seeing in his first birthday as part of the new Blue Zoo model team, Ashton Lance Pencheon from Solihull will represent the 0 – 18 months category.
Mark Heyes said: “Ashton is a very handsome looking baby and I’m sure he’s set to be a regular heartbreaker!”
Mum Emma Lance- Pencheon can’t wait to see what the pictures will look like: “I’m just over the moon! Everyone comments on what a beautiful baby he is, so when we saw this competition we had to enter him!’
5 year old Lili Raine Barnes from Salford is the new face of the 18 months – 5 years old girls’ category.
“With her beautiful blonde hair and blue eyes, Lili is every inch the star –w e had to pick her! She has the look of a future Britney or Christina!” was Mark Heyes’ opinion.
Proud mum Jenna Barnes says: “Ever since she’s been able to walk, she’s just wanted to be on TV. She’s already enrolled at a theatre group in Bury, where she’s been involved in so many musicals, from Aladdin to Oliver. She’s even had speaking parts, which is pretty rare for a 5 year old!’
Uber-talented 4 year old Joseph Pinto from Bearsted will be representing the boys in the 18 months – 5 years category, and he couldn’t have impressed Mark Heyes more: “Joseph was just a natural in front of the lens!”
Dad Peter Pinto says: “He’s such an active, outgoing kid and loves everything from dance to theatre to tennis. He’s musically talented, and plays the piano and guitar, and is also a member of a street dancing club.”
7 year old Aliyah Stevens from Redruth will be representing the girls in the 6 – 12 years category. Mark Heyes was utterly charmed by Aliyah who he reckons has “such natural beauty and grace about her and really knows how to charm the camera!”
Mum Sereine Stevens says: “Aliyah has done a bit of modelling before for a family friend, but this is her first try at anything serious, so I’m just over the moon.’
And last but by no means least, 12 year old Lennon Organ from Bridlington will be representing the boys in the 6 – 12 years category
Says Mark Heyes: “Lennon is a really cool kid. He really looks the part and has a great laid-back style.”
Lennon says: “I’ve never done anything like this before, so I’m really pleased. I’m just about to go to secondary school in September, so this will be a really good way to boost my confidence before starting at a new school.”
Congratulations to everybody!
