October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and this year, once again, we’re supporting Breast Cancer Campaign with some fab products being sold in store and online from 1-31 October 2009. The biggest challenge though is a little bit different. We’re cycling all the way to the moon for charity (don’t worry, there’s no space suit required). Staff across our stores in the UK and Ireland will be jumping on cycle machines and peddling like crazy to do their bit towards our target of 225,000 miles: the distance it would take you to get to the moon. You can sponsor them in store or donate via the Breast Cancer Campaign website – www.breastcancercampaign.org

We’ve got some of our designers to help out too. They’ve got out of the sweaty cycling bit and have instead designed 5 exclusive T-shirts with a wear it pink theme. Choose from Butterfly by Matthew Williamson, Star by Julien Macdonald, Betty Jackson.Black, Rocha.John Rocha and J by Jasper Conran. Which t-shirt is your favourite? A 30 per cent donation will be given to Breast Cancer Campaign for each  T-shirt sold. We’ve also been asked to sell the official T-shirt on sale for £10, available in black or white.

It’s also a good time to treat yourself to some new lingerie with 50p being donated from each bra sold and there are some great gift ideas too. Now I’ve just got to decide what to do on wear it pink day on Friday 30 October. Maybe I’ll attempt to bake some cakes to sell to the guys in the office or just throw on my most fabulous pink outfit and make a donation. Every penny raised is going to a brilliant cause so whatever you can do to help is going to be much appreciated.

I’d love to hear what you’re doing for wear it pink day. Inspire us with a comment below…
