Here at Debenhams, we’re excited about our new childrenswear range, Donna & Markus, with fashion designer Markus Lupfer and the TV presenter and actress Donna Air.
To celebrate, both made an appearance in our office today to answer all your facebook questions about their fabulous collection – now available online and soon to be in store…
FB: What age groups will you cater for?
Donna & Markus: The range is designed for girls aged 4-14. You can browse the range here >> http://bit.ly/WBtyUL
FB: Does your collection have colours that are more child-proof than white?
D&M: Absolutely! Have a look at the colour range available, we hope you find something that you like! I know how you feel, I still can’t wear white and I’m 33! >> http://bit.ly/WBtyUL
FB: What is your favourite piece from this collection?
D&M: Markus’ is the penguin jumper and mine changes every day, I like the ‘I love u’ sweatshirt and my daughter’s favourite is the boom jumper. She said: “Mummy, you’ve made pink cool!”
FB: Will the range be for boys and girls?
D&M: At the moment it is available for girls only. We have plans for a boys’ range and hope to create a whole Donna & Markus kids’ world!
FB: Can you recommend a Christmas present for my friend’s 6 yr old girl – She’s quite a tomboy?
D&M: We definitely recommend the penguin for a Christmas present, especially for a tom boy as the colour palette is not as girly >>http://bit.ly/10A0cFy
FB: Do you do any leggings? They’d be cool, my daughter loves leggings!
D&M: Yes! We have a fabulous range of leggings. I know how obsessed girls are with leggings, what is that?! The leggings will be available online in the next couple of weeks. We have a great pair with sunglasses print!
FB: I’m definitely going to get the pink striped jumper for my niece – would you recommend that I just get her a plain pair of trousers/skirt/leggings to go with it? Or do you think colour would work?
D&M: I think it’s best to keep the rest of the outfit plain, perhaps a neutral colour like navy, black or grey.
FB: How did your range begin?
D&M: I was hanging out with Donna and she was looking for jumpers for the many kids in her life so that’s how we decided to start designing our kids’ range.
