Working out what to wear to the races can be difficult – but not if you come to Debenhams.
Our customers love our occasionwear because we’ve got plenty of choice to fit and flatter all figures. We’ve been looking at all the pictures from Ascot and wishing we were there. If you’re off to Ascot or a day at the races try our fashion tips…
Glam races style… go all out glam in Star by Julien Macdonald. The figure-hugging and body-shaping styles look great teamed with some high heels. Orange is our hot-hue for summer and Betty Jackson.Black also has some striking orange dresses which would be perfect for grandstand.
Vintage races style… 50s prom style dresses are an on-trend option this season. They’re a great choice because they are generally belted at the waist and flared over the bottom and thighs, cutting a fabulously feminine silhouette. The new RI Roksanda Ilincic prom dresses are so pretty too and will definitely stand out (plus, check for a special discount on selected lines for a limited time).
Hats and fascinators for the races… top it all off with a statement hat or fascinator. The races are the one place where bigger is better. If you are petite, you can get away with a taller style hat. If you have a round face, opt for a hat or fascinator with angles and wear tilted on the head. The latest trend for colour clashing headwear and dresses is a great look too.
