We’re enjoying the warm weather while it lasts, but the pretty florals, sumptuous suede and decadent lace gowns we spotted on the AW15 catwalks have us a little bit excited for the winter season.

We can’t wait to embrace a new wardrobe, so we won’t be waiting until the cold hits to add a little newness. From the suede coat to the minimal knit, here are the items to covet, buy and wear now (and all winter long)…

Key-items-2On the catwalk: Burberry Prorsum. Shop the edit- from left: RJR. John Rocha khaki suede coat, Faith tan fringed suede duffle bag.

The Suede Coat

Every winter needs a hero coat and this season it’s sumptuous suede in either tan or khaki.

The Duffle Bag

When Burberry sent fringed bags down the catwalk we knew it was big news, invest now for the most fashion forward arm candy.

key-items-3On the catwalk: Chloe and Ralph Lauren. Shop the edit- from left: Wallis blue flared jeans, Dune red suede tassel detail ankle boots.

The Flares

The flares are here to stay, look for ’70s blue with the widest legs and pair with a skinny rib roll neck for the most flattering silhouette.

The Suede Ankle Boots

Another suede item to add to your shopping list is the ankle boot, opt for a high style with tassel detailing.

key-items-4On the catwalk: Valentino and Alexander McQueen. Shop the edit- from left: Iska floral long sleeved dress, Coast  red crepe dress.

The Ditsy Floral Dress

Girly no more, the floral dress has been given an after dark update. Wear a long sleeved mini style with knee high boots and plaited hair.

The Red Dress

This winter will not be dreary or dull, the catwalks were awash with bright and bold colours with red being our favourite.

Key-items-1On the catwalk: Louis Vuitton and Jonathan Saunders. Shop the edit- from left: Miss Selfridge indigo A-line skirt, Phase Eight black roll neck jumper.

The A-line Skirt

The most flattering skirt shape to exist, the A-line skirt is back with a vengeance. We love it paired with a polo neck, for a subtle sixties swing.

The Polo Neck

The polo neck is the only neckline to covet this autumn. Build your outfits around neutral ones or make a statement with bold ’80s esque prints.

Key-items-5On the catwalk: Alberta Ferretti, Victoria Beckham. Shop the edit- from left: Coast Jolana dress, Warehouse chunky shell top.

The Victoriana Gown

The little black dress has grown up, invest in an ultra seductive black sheer dress for an update on your evening attire.

The Minimal Knit

Transition into autumn with this cool sleeveless knit, wear it with tailored white trousers for a chic office look.
