Claire

1. Claire Danes

Golden Globe award winning actress, Claire Danes transformed into a red carpet version of Disney’s Cinderella last night as she lit up the Met Gala in a Zac Posen ballgown. The magnificent powder-blue piece was made of fibre optic woven organza, allowing it to magically illuminate. The gown effortlessly combined the theme of night by marring fashion and technology.

Kendall-2

2. Kendall Jenner

We weren’t sure how the supermodel would top her glistening Calvin Klein ensemble from last year’s Met Gala, but Kendall has undoubtedly done it again in a sheer Atelier Versace Gown. The sultry number featured a carved out waist detail and halter neck design, which perfectly showcased Kendall’s svelte physique.

Karolina

3. Karolina Kurkova

Staying true to the romantic aesthetic of a classic Marchesa gown; designer Georgina Chapman partnered with IBM’s Watson to produce the fairy-tale dress, worn by the supermodel. The floral number’s peony-shaped appliques were glowing thanks to the embedded LED lights which glistened from a soft lilac into a light blue.

Jourdan

4. Jourdan Dunn

Combining futuristic feels and red carpet glamour, Jourdan oozed chic appeal in this Balmain corset-like creation. As a key component of Olivier Rousteing’s #BalmainArmy, alongside fellow supermodel’s Doutzen Kroes, Alessandra Ambrosio, Cindy Crawford and Joan Smalls, Jourdan certainly shone above the competition in this iridescent show stopper.

Zoe

5. Zoe Saldana

The standout ballgown of the night goes to the ‘Guardian of the Galaxy’ actress, Zoe Saldana, who captured everyone’s attention on the red carpet wearing a Dolce and Gabanna masterpiece. Cascading down the steps of the Met, the beautiful skirt train featured bright pops of colour and was designed to replicate a peacock’s tail feathers.
