A star of the bloggersphere and winner in the competitive category ‘Best For Fashion’ at the 2015 Cosmopolitan Blog awards, Laura Humphris of ‘The Pixie Cut’, has collaborated with us to reveal her favourite pieces to buy now for a fabulous winter wardrobe.

As the ‘Best For Fashion’ award was sponsored by Debenhams, Laura was delighted to be offered the opportunity to work alongside the Debenhams Editorial team to produce three looks for every major winter occasion, from winter walks in the countryside, heading to bars and cocktail occasions with friends, all the way to cosy coffee dates. Spring may be around the corner, but for now join us as we look to Laura for some serious style tips for cool weather dressing.

1. Winter Walk

Laura is loving our military detailed Red Herring jacket just as much as us; choosing navy as a practical winter colour scheme, she styled it with a checked scarf and Red Herring buckle detailed boots. Being a self-confessed lover of anything bold and eye catching, there’s no wonder these pieces were Laura’s pick of the bunch.

2. Going out

What a better way to ward off the January blues than painting the town red; simply slip into a sparkling bodycon dress like Laura and head for a night out with your friends. We love the metallic pattern and flattering dress length on this Red Herring dress which Laura chose for her ‘Going out’ look. Laura loves mixing gold and silver together, so she opted for this 3D clutch bag from ‘Principles’ by Ben de Lisi to complete her look.

3. Cosy Day

Not wanting to brave the cold? Here’s an outfit for cuddling up on the sofa, hitting the sales or meeting for a lunch date. Capes are simply a guaranteed chic and sophisticated look; Laura has picked the black fur lined collar cape from The Collection. A fan of the faux fur trim and the light weight material of the cape, Laura loves this item for layering over a warm jumper and jeans. Another of Laura’s top tips to keep this look extra cosy is to add some winter accessories, like a bobble hat with some matching gloves or for a more formal occasion, a fedora hat.
