You might not know it looking out the window but, even if you live somewhere that is currently covered in snow, spring – apparently – has officially sprung.
This week saw the first day of spring arrive – March 20th to be precise – and, while we may be experiencing what is being dubbed ‘the coldest March on record’, new season fashions are popping up in stores and online – and they’re bloomin’ marvellous.
We may not be able to say that spring has really arrived outside, but we can shop in preparation for when it does. If, like us, you can’t wait for the warmer weather to melt the snow, say it with flowers from our new spring collections.
We’ve rounded up a few of our floral favourites, just to give you a sneak peek of what you can find at Debenhams to get you in the mood for the change in season. Here in Head Office, we’re all loving the fresh and floral designs at Phase Eight, pretty little dresses like the Bloom belted dress (pictured above – feature image) and the Ellie floral pleasted style and Ditsy floral illusion dress. If you’re a fan of maxis in the spring, you’ll love the Kew blue floral dress from our Ossie Clark range – maximum vintage glamour at its finest. (Dresses all above image, clockwise)
Accessory-wise, we also plan to snap up floral styles from Mood in the form of the above heart shape necklace, golden flip flops from Grendha, with over-sized flower embellishment on side, floral platforms from footwear favourite Dolcis and a beautiful blue clutch from Coast. (All above)
If the unthinkable happens and the weather doesn’t warm up soon, then maybe it’s time for us to leave the office and book a much-needed holiday. We won’t really mind, for at least it will give us an excuse to slip into the above pictured Reger by Janet Reger swimwear.
Here in good ol’ Blighty, though we’re optimistic for the brighter weather, even we have to agree that bikini weather may be some way off. In the meantime, focus on florals and you’ll spring in the right direction.
