Golden girls, nude tones and scarlet women…

Award season has arrived and, with it, red carpet fashion watch – our favourite past-time. This year, last night’s Golden Globes were all about going nude, with a splash of scarlet blush…
Glowing on the red carpet Isla Fisher, Amy Adams and Megan Fox led the way in romantic nude tones, with Jennifer Lopez, Hayden Panettiere and Jessica Alba following suit.
Intent on stealing their stunning star style we’ve been looking over our new collections, safe in the knowledge that, if it’s on-trend, we’ll be able to find it at Debenhams.
And, just like with the red carpet style last night, we weren’t disappointed with the new Debut collection including a pleated bust maxi dress in the lightest pink and a ruched bust nude maxi, with Phase Eight also presenting a couple of glamorous dresses – the Pippa embellished lace dress and the Cinderella dress. Both boast a sleek, discreet golden shade with nude tones, ideal for the most A-list of occasions.
If you prefer to make more of a statement with your style, then follow the ladies in red; Claire Danes, Zooey Deschanel, Naomi Watts and Jennifer Garner. FYI, as of today we have a major fashion crush on Ben Affleck’s other half.
A scarlet woman indeed, we’re actually a little bit in love with Ms Garner – even more so considering her no.1 accessory was hubbie himself. Collection 8, at Phase Eight, currently stocks an irresistibly luxurious-looking deep red embroidered dress, not dissimilar to Jennifer’s red carpet look.
Team with a pair of gold earrings and a diamante-detail bangle, both from Mood - with an extra bracelet from Jon Richard, for added golden oomph . Hopefully just the thing to allow us to snare our own Ben Affleck.
After all, for these Hollywood actresses, their dreams clearly came true – why shouldn’t ours?
Whose look did you like the most? Are you a golden girl or scarlet woman?
