*This brilliant competition has now closed. Thank you for all your entries*
Jenni Falconer, founder of her own XPG sportswear range, was planning to run the 2013 London marathon on 21 April.
Unfortunately, Jenni will no longer be taking part in this year’s event.
In a statement, she said:
I’m absolutely gutted to say that I am no longer able to run in this year’s London marathon.
Frustratingly I’m suffering from a form of shin splints. It’s not the most exciting of injuries but it has done enough damage in my lower leg to cause me severe pain and discomfort.
I have also been advised by the doctor and physiotherapist that if I continue to run I could fracture the bone and cause serious, long-term damage.
I’m beyond disappointed as I was desperate to run and raise money for The Children’s Trust.
I wish all the runners the very best of luck and hope to see you on the start-line in 2014!
As a result of this news our competition will still continue but you will no longer need to guess the time Jenni completes the marathon to win.
Instead you only need to enter your name and contact details in the comments section below. A winner will then be chosen at random to win the XPG sports bra, capri bottoms, sports t-shirt and hoodie PLUS £200 in Debenhams vouchers.
Also, as a result of Jenni’s news, we will not be able to offer a discount based on her marathon performance. But we hope to offer a great XPG discount deal in the near future.
