It’s time to get the frying pans out and get battered again – it’s Pancake Tuesday! But how will you make and eat yours? Everyone has their own way of making them – but to make things easier Kitchencraft have kindly supplied us with an easy-to-follow recipe – see below.

But how do you eat yours? Straightforward lemon and sugar, nutella and banana, some nuts perhaps, golden syrup, peanut butter perhaps? Will you attempt a flip? If you have any interesting recipes let us know below.

INGREDIENTS

  • 100g (4oz) plain flour
  • 1 egg
  • 300ml (1/2 pint) milk
  • Pinch of salt
  • Oil for frying
  • Sugar & lemon juice to serve

RECIPE

  • To make the pancake batter sift the flour and salt into a bowl. Add the egg and beat well. Then add milk gradually and beat to make a smooth batter.
  • Heat a little oil in the frying pan until hot and then pour enough batter to thinly cover the base of the pan. Cook for a couple of minutes on each side.
  • Serve sprinkled with sugar and lemon juice.
