To mark the start of the festive season, we celebrated with our very own Cocktails of Christmas blogger night, filled with cocktail making, nibbles and our favourite festive Debenhams homeware range. Here’s what we got up to…
Last week we invited a group of bloggers to an exclusive evening where we created our own Christmas-inspired cocktails, to get us prepped for the festive season ahead. Featuring only our finest glassware and barware, we gave our own spin on the classic Snowball, and added cute finishing touches to gingerbread bellinis, and if they weren’t enough merry tipples, each blogger topped off the evening by creating their own personalised cocktail, before heading home with a jam-packed goodie bag.
Take a look at all of the bloggers who came along:

As each blogger arrived, they were greeted with a cranberry prosecco cocktail in our Star by Julien Macdonald gold champagne flute glasses (coming soon) fixed together by our mixologist for the evening, Brandon.
The cocktail masterclass area was complete with an individual station for each blogger, set up with some of our favourite homeware items, where Brandon gave step-by-step demonstrations of how to create each cocktail.
Their stations included: RJR.John Rocha silver round metal placemats, A J by Jasper Conran stainless steel cocktail shaker, A J by Jasper Conran stainless steel ice bucket and Star by Julien Macdonald jewel cocktail stirrers.
The attending bloggers were in for an evening full of treats, as we also had the wonderful Marcio from YSL join us to create party-ready lip looks.
First up, each blogger created A White Christmas Snowball, complete with a festive miniature candy cane.
Usually served as a dessert drink, for this Advocaat-based cocktail the bloggers each had a beautiful Star by Julien Macodonald lustre effect martini glass complete with a glistening shimmer for an icy effect. If you fancy creating this sweet drink yourself, check out this simple recipe that we used below (per cocktail):
20ml lime juice
Approx 100ml lemonade
1 mini candy cane
Next, the bloggers put an adorable Christmas twist on a classic champagne based cocktail: A Gingerbread Bellini
With the miniature gingerbread man as the icing on the cake of this Instagram-ready cocktail, the bloggers were a huge fan of this fun drink, all served in our Star by Julien Macondald gold swirl champagne flutes. Sold in a set of six, these elegant glasses will make the perfect addition to any Christmas dinner party.
Wow your dinner guests and make this tasty tipple yourself (per cocktail):
10ml gingerbread syrup
15ml hazelnut liquor
20ml lemon juice
Top with champagne (approx 100ml)
1 small piece of marzipan
1 mini gingerbread man
Last but not least, the bloggers chose a piece of glassware from our Star by Julien Macdonald Metallic Swirl collection – including flutes, martini glasses, hi-ball glasses and wine glasses (coming soon) before curating their own Christmassy cocktail.
We provided a selection of ingredients to choose from including ginger beer, caramel vodka and prosecco. Of course, we also added some fun festive garnishes such as cinnamon sticks, raspberries and rosemary. Here’s a few fun cocktails that were made…
Mona and Cassie created ‘The Tinsel Teasers’, Taislany whipped up a ‘Tispy Attraction’ and Teral put her own stamp on an orange and cranberry based cocktail called ‘The Teral.’
We had a brilliant evening of mingling, jingling, but before it was time to call it a night, each blogger took home a jam-packed goodie bag filled with treats from one of our favourite beauty brands Urban Decay, a sweetly smelling passion fruit martini Yankee Candle and some cocktail-themed Christmas gifts from our gifts range.
