How to spend it like Beckham

They think it’s all over…it is now.

After nearly 530 games for clubs including Manchester United, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Paris St Germain – and who could forget Preston North End – David Beckham has decided to hang up his boots.

The former England called time on his professional football career which has seen the 38-year-old go from plucky schoolboy to global celebrity.

But while all the football accolades cannot be forgotten, it’s worth remembering Beckham has always been at the forefront of men’s fashion – regardless of if he always hit the target.

Beckham was an integral part of London’s successful bid to host the Olympic Games in 2012 so it was no surprise to see him with the Olympic flame when it touched down in the UK.

True to form he wore a classic navy suit with a smart blue shirt which had a white collar.

To get the same look, we’d recommend this Stvdio jeff banks Blue twill tailored fit two-button jacket and Osborne blue herringbone striped shirt.

And these black polished leather shoes from Loake look great.

Finish the outfit with a Jeff Banks designer navy damask silk tie, stylish Jasper Conran designer silver alligator tie clip and don’t forget the brand new Jeff Banks Pink Pants which supports Debenhams Think Pink campaign.

But if you prefer the classic look than Beckham wasn’t too bad at that either.

His outfit for the VH1 Awards in 2011 was one of the best examples of simple, stylish, classic tailoring for many years.

Why not try this Red Herring black Albert suit jacket with matching textured suit trousers.

Couple this with a gorgeous Osborne white plain oxford shirt and Thomas Nash black pure silk tie. Finish it with a pair of Mr KG black Kegworth formal shoes.

And with that, we say thank you David and enjoy your retirement.
