Julien Macdonald puts a spring in your step this summer

From May this year shoppers at Debenhams could reach dizzy new heights in fashion footwear with the launch of the new Star by Julien Macdonald shoe range. Our women’s copywriter, Jade Shaw, has the details.
A collection of striking safari print, studded and tribal designs and 4-inch heels not for the faint-hearted, every pair makes its own individual style statement.
Our designer exclusively handed his first pair over to Jimmy Choo, and sealing approval from the iconic shoemaker is a sure sign this range is set for success.
In July, Choo and Macdonald will be appearing together on Britain’s Next Top Model, their close working relationship can only mean great things for our Designers at Debenhams.
When Julien was asked what inspired his towering stilettos he replied, “watching Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz and those fabulous red slippers, and I had that in mind when I was designing.” Great news for the girls in our office, who have been clicking their heels with excitement.
And whilst Jimmy Choo once said, “My clients keep my shoes forever”, we hope this to be true for the Star collection or at least until he launches another secret range later on this year.
