With the childrenswear market expanding rapidly, and the likes of Romeo Beckham already making a foray into the world of fashion, it was only a matter of time before the kids got their own ‘mini’ fashion week.

And, last night, the first ever Global Kids’ Fashion Week (GKFW) landed in London.

Stylish celebrity parents and their equally fashion-forward children were out to witness the world’s cutest catwalk show – and it did not disappoint.

Here at Debenhams, we want to make sure your kids are also playing their part on the playground of fashionable fun…

For the girls – it’s all about bold prints and colourful dresses. Younger girls are now becoming more and more fashion conscious as they strive to be like the glamorous stars they see on the TV and in magazines. The great thing about bright corals and cute animal prints is that they look amazing on young girls, making their outfits young and fresh.

These days, boys can be as trend-driven and fashion-forward as girls. Jeans are a fashion fail-safe, practical, and on-trend no matter the season, and therefore a staple in every boy’s wardrobe. Don’t forget the chino effect – these can be effortlessly be worn with polo shirts or long sleeve shirts in general.

Keep your eyes peeled – with style like this, kids now look like they have stepped out of a fashion magazine…
