You should layer up no matter what – and with the snow falling, it’s the perfect time to do so.

Regardless of whether you love the cold weather or not, remember – piling on clothing needs to look good and feel good.

The most important layer is a coat. With that in mind, keep layers relatively thin so you’re not looking too bulky. Opt for the navy Harrington jacket from J by Jasper Conran for a lightweight feel but stylish look.

For maximum warmth, this tan quilted trim jacket from Red Herring is a clever option and has all the benefits of a duvet but in different form. Nevertheless, the navy Fair Isle gilet from Mantaray is the perfect combination of warm and it’s breathable.

Don’t forget your feet. Avoid getting your socks soaked with a pair of smart leather brogue boots from Loake or the faux leather apron boots from F.F.P for great comfort.

Finally, treat yourself to a Fred Perry beanie hat, a pair of leather rip tape strap gloves from Jeff Banks and a weighty multi-striped scarf from J by Jasper Conran, and you’ll be ready to tackle the weather.

Whatever you do, make sure you find layers that will keep you warm.
