Matthew Williamson’s Summer Oasis

Our very own designer, Matthew Williamson, has designed ‘The Horticultural Oasis’ at Blakes Hotel in London. The designer has taken over the courtyard to create a floral filled, bright and relaxing bar area. Known for his preference for bold colours and vivid prints, we’re sure they’ll be plenty to please the eye.

The Horticultural Oasis at Blakes opens Friday 19 June.

Film of the Year

One of the most hotly anticipated movie releases this year is due to hit cinemas this week. The film is based on the television series which chronicles the acting career of young movie star, Vincent Chase and is also said to be loosely based on Mark Wahlberg’s experience as an up-and-coming actor. Among the long list of A-Lister cameos are appearances from Jessica Alba, Tom Brady, Liam Neeson and Pharrell Williams, just to name a few, so we’re expecting great things.

The Summer Hero

We all know that summer can play havoc with our wardrobes, especially living in Britain, so invest in a shirt that is guaranteed to become your summer hero. Suitable for work with a pencil skirt or at night with jewels and an evening clutch, you can even take the humble shirt to the beach to layer over your favourite bikini- that’s what we call good value. We love this easy, breezy striped option from Warehouse that can be both office appropriate and Riviera chic.

National Picnic Week

With the sun beginning to appear, it seems perfect timing that it’s National Picnic Week. Defined as an excursion at which a meal is eaten outdoors, usually in a beautiful landscape, the picnic is one of our favourite summer pastimes. Grab your plastic cutlery, pack your hamper and head to your local park to enjoy the traditional summer event.
