October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and, like many others, Debenhams will be doing their bit to raise awareness and vital funds to help Breast Cancer Campaign continue their important work and research. To date we’ve raised a massive £3million, and we couldn’t have done it without our staff and customers.
This year, Debenhams will once again be the retailer for the official wear it pink t-shirt and Ultimo’s Michelle Mone OBE has been modelling it for us. Michelle says: “I’m proud to support Breast Cancer Campaign by modelling the official wear it pink t-shirt which has been designed by Debenhams. Make sure you get yours in time for wear it pink day on the 28 October – I’ll be encouraging everyone to wear something pink on the day and donate £2 to help the charity fund vital research into the disease.” £4 from every t-shirt sold will go to charity.
Ultimo also have a beautiful bra called ‘Tassels’ available that’s supporting Breast Cancer Campaign – we love it!

Designers at Debenhams have also been supporting the cause by designing some exclusive women’s t-shirts – 25% from the sale of these will be donated to the charity. But along with the t-shirts, Debenhams will also be donating 50p from every bra sold during October and we’ve got a selection of special beauty products, accessories and homeware which all include a donation to Breast Cancer Campaign too. You buy, we donate!
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK and accounts for nearly one in three of all cancers in women. In fact, in the UK, around 48,000 new cases of breast cancer are diagnosed each year – that’s 130 a day. The good news is that the charity currently funds 95 projects worth almost £16.5 million in 31 locations across the UK and Ireland. With our help they can make a real difference.
