We couldn’t quite believe how amazing all the entries were for our British Invasion Polyvore contest and we had loads of fun selecting our favourites. We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who took part, from all corners of the world. When it came down to it we had to pick just 1 overall winner but we still couldn’t settle on 4 runners up so we’ve got 5! Take a look at our top picks…
Winner
H! by Henry Holland by Dollychops featuring H! by Henry Holland
Dollychops caught our eye with several of her designer-inspired sets, but this one was so creative and beautifully laid out and fitted the brief of a designer inspired look perfectly. She’s encapsulated exactly what H! by Henry Holland is all about and made us all want to go out and buy her featured outfit.
Runners up
Kaleidos gave us 10 fabulous outfit ideas for day, work and evening from Ben de Lisi’s ranges at Debenhams . It proved just how great the collection is for building a wonderfully coordinated capsule wardrobe. Even the bed linen matches!
Debenhams: British Invasion! by bittersweet89 featuring H! by Henry Holland
Bittersweet89’s collage showcased some of the top pieces from the H! by Henry Holland range. We could easily see the clothing and accessories she picked on a young London fashionista, just the sort of girl who Henry says inspired his collection.
Angelc took Matthew’s signature style and brought it to life and we thought it really showed how easy it is to get that catwalk look at a high street price. She used accessories really well to complete her designer outfit and the butterflies were the perfect finishing touch.
Julien Macdonald by Kenguri featuring Star by Julien Macdonald
We chose Kenguri’s Star by Julien Macdonald set because it was so glam and fit for a celebrity. Julien has such a big celebrity following and this outfit wouldn’t look out of place on the likes of Cheryl Cole.
Jilbi showed us an elegant and timeless look inspired by Betty Jackson.Black and we felt that the set really captured Betty’s signature style. The result was something classic and very British too.
We’ll be posting some of our other favourites on the blog soon so even if you didn’t win anything, you still might get featured on the blog.
