Swing kings set to clash at US Open

This. Could. Get. Interesting.

The 2013 US Open gets underway this week at Merion Golf Club, Ardmore in Pennsylvania, and all eyes will be on two players.

Tigers Woods and Sergio Garcia.

The controversy that dogged these players over the last few weeks has been cleared up between them but the reaction of the galleries to Garcia promises to be interesting to say the least.

With Woods beginning to find the form that saw him dominate the sport, he’s seen by many as a clear favourite.

It’s thought Garcia could struggle to make the cut and altered his accommodation plans before the start of the opening round.

So, whether you’ll be hitting the tee this weekend or simply watching the professionals from the comfort of your armchair why not look the part, eh?

With ‘Lunarlon’ cushioning on the heels, ‘Flywire’ mid foot saddles and spiked treads, these Nike white ‘Lunar Saddle’ trainers are waterproof and ideal companions over 18 holes and beyond.

Trousers maybe your thing but also consider shorts.  The navy flat front tech shorts from Nike Golf have a flat front design with ‘DRI-Fit’ technology to keep you cool. And it has a zip fly fastening and two open front pockets.

With bright and bold colours dominating the high street, take this style onto the golf course. This purple polo shirt from Adidas wicks moisture away from the skin to keep you cool and dry while on the move.

If it gets chilly what better top to keep you warm than a “Tiger red” knitted golf jumper from Nike. It has ribbing along the shoulders, a red embroidered logo on the left of the chest and a matching zip fastening on the funnel neckline.

And complete the look by choosing from these caps. There’s a white baseball cap from Nike Golf styled in breathable ‘DRI-fit’ material and this Adidas blue plaid design incorporated into the fabric which also offers 50+ UV protection.
