Got the outfit but not thought about what to wear underneath it yet? As Pearce and Fionda mentioned when they took over our Facebook page a few weeks back, investing in the correct undergarments can make your outfit fit better and you feel more confident.

So with this in mind, we have asked our Head of Lingerie Buying & Design, Sharon Webb, back to answer your questions on what the correct underwear or shapewear to get for any body shape or size, even if you have had a mastectomy or are nursing – whether this is for the party season or for everyday.

I would LOVE some pretty, lacey, feminine bras for larger chested women that do not look as though they were intended as scaffolding for the new Olympic stadium.

I totally second Janette’s comment!! Also can the it’s not fair that many of the bras aimed at the younger market only go up to a C cup, some of us under 25 who are looking for cute and fun undies are way further down the alphabet and don’t want to wear the same styles as our nans!!

    Hi Janette

As a fuller bust customer i know how you feel, it’s really important to feel pretty but to be supported. We have lots of lovely pretty feminine bras in our ranges, whether it is in our own brand “Gorgeous” which has lots of print and colour and goes up to a 38H (our gorgeous seduction range has frills, lace and satin and goes upto a 38G). Alternatively we stock Freya, Fantasie and Panache Super bra which go up to J cups. If your local store doesn’t stock all these ranges go online to see the full collection.

I agree with the whole larger bust issues, but my question is why do so many of the full cup bras stop at a 38/40 inch back? Logic does suggest that if you have bigger boobs, you’re fairly likely to have a broader back. I’d like the lovely ‘Gorgeous’ range to go up to a 42″ back measurement. They cover the cup size, but not the back size. This is a BIG issue!!

Was really disappointed to see that the beautiful B by Ted Baker bras don’t come in anything beyond 32A and 38DD. As a 30F, I’d come to rely on Debenhams to cater to unusually sized customers, (given our growing numbers) and to make sure I could dip into its best ranges. Am stuck looking wistfully at them on the website instead.
