British summer time means something different to everyone, walks in the park, days at the beach, strawberries and cream, sweating on the tube but there is one thing that a huge number of people across the nation and across the world associate with Britain in June and July; sport.
In June and July British sports fans are spoiled with top class sporting events one after the other. Another memorable Wimbledon championship has just finished (maybe next year Andy), the Ascot festival was a huge success and millions of us tuned in to watch David Haye’s fight last weekend. This weekend it’s the turn of Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button and Paul di Resta to fly to British flag at the British Grand Prix in Silverstone.

Team mates Lewis and Jenson, driving for Silverstone based team MacLaren, will be hoping to cut championship leader Sebastian Vettel’s lead while di Resta in a Force India will be looking to continue his impressive debut season with a good performance in his first ever British Grand Prix.
Even though it’s in its close season football is never far from the nation’s thoughts in Britain and this week saw the England ladies qualify for the World Cup quarter finals and the official launch of the new Umbro England away shirt. The good news for footie fans is we’ll have the shirt available online before England play their next game.
