A while back Lisa Stickley told us what her perfect afternoon tea would include. We think it’s a great selection for celebrating the Royal Wedding, simply throw in a glass of champagne. Here’s what Lisa suggested…
What to drink…
- Home made lemonade
- Home made ginger beer
- Earl grey, lady grey & builders
- Elderflower cordial
Sandwiches…
Serve sandwich with the crusts removed with butter, a twist of black pepper and some salt and cut into small triangles.
- Cucumber on white bread
- Smoked salmon with cream cheese and a squeeze of lemon on brown bread
- Ham and mustard, brown bread on the top, white on the bottom
Cakes…
- Mini sultana scones with clotted cream and blackcurrant jam
- Mini lemon meringue pies
- Mini chocolate brownies (gooey)
Serve it all up on pretty cake stands and sandwich trays and don’t forget the tea cups and saucers. Shop House & Home by Lisa Stickley for pretty serveware and tableware.
