Pancake Day is nearly upon us and whether you’re a flipping genius or a novice with a frying pan, we’ve got the competition for you.
Enter your name and details and you could win a Jamie Oliver Lemon Squeezy pancake pan from Tefal.
Now, Jamie knows a thing or two about what makes a great pan and this Tefal pan is no exception.
The Lemon Squeezy’s non-stick coating is reinforced with ultra-hard minerals to make it extremely scratch resistant, and it comes with a recipe for Jamie’s gorgeous American pancakes. The pan also has Tefal’s patented Thermo-Spot heat indicator, which means you’ll know exactly when to add the batter for perfectly cooked pancake!
And, of course, it has the fun Lemon Squeezy prints on the base.
The competition runs from Friday, 1 February to Friday, 8 February 2013. Good luck!
This hearty dish is a great mix of the indulgent and the healthy – so tuck in!
Takes: 45 minutes
3 large eggs
115g self-raising flour
a pinch of salt
2 handfuls of blueberries
a mixture of sliced kiwi, sliced banana
and quartered strawberries
Greek yoghurt, to serve
honey, to serve
First separate the eggs, putting the whites into one bowl and the yolks into another.
Stir the flour and milk into the yolks, mix to a smooth thick batter, and leave to rest
for 30 minutes. When youʼre ready to go, whisk the whites with the salt until stiff and
fold into the batter, then fold in your blueberries.
Heat a heavy non-stick pan on a medium heat. Pour a spoonful of batter into the pan
and fry for a couple of minutes until it starts to look golden and firm. Flip over and
continue frying until both sides are golden and the pancake is hot all the way
You can make the pancakes any size you want.
When theyʼre all ready, serve with the rest of the fruit, some yoghurt and a drizzle
