Winter fashion vote: Snow boots Vs Wellies

Much of the country has been covered in a white blanket of snow and, as pretty as it may be, it’s not at all practical for those looking to go about their daily routine or embarking on a snowy commute. Did you brave the commute or are you all snowed in?
My biggest dilemma when the weather turns icy is what footwear will be best to avoid slip-sliding on the ice and snow.
Snow boots were a trend prediction for the season and not just because of the cold winter weather, they are a style favourite too. Wellies are a staple all year round that you can bring back out come festival season or during April showers. Some people get by perfectly well in the snow wearing their usual boots or trainers, although I’m going for my faux fur lined boots for added warmth… brrrrr! What about you?
The snow is also having another effect on shoppers apart from many people having to work from home. Everyone’s been out stocking up on their Christmas decorations early!
Sales of tinsel, Christmas trees, fairy lights and other decorations reached a record high – in November – and sales are peaking early for December too. I usually wait to put my tree up in mid December, but I’ve been thinking of doing it early too. Although I’ll be shopping online or I’ll need to get some snow boots before I can get to the shops…
Social & Etiquette Expert, Liz Brewer says, “The second week in December is seen as the appropriate time to dress your house! However, I’m not surprised that Britons are opting to deck the halls before December. A little Christmas magic bucks the spirit and brightens the days before the holidays begin”.
