Tried and Tested: L’Occitane

Everyone over indulged over Christmas, but its a new year so start on a high note and get that soft skin glow.

We have a tried and tested review from Lauren Thornton our Senior Marketing manager, who has tried the L’occitane skin care regime for two weeks and seen impressive results!

Here is Lauren’s review…

The Shea Cleansing Oil and Cleansing Milk: Both gently cleanse skin and removes make-up but have different textures and so it’s down to personal preference. The Shea Cleansing Oil, has a lovely silky texture and transforms into a soft emulsion when applied, my skin certainly feels clean and radiant afterwards. I follow this up with the Shea Cleansing Milk, you only need one pump on a cotton wool pad, the creamy texture leaves my skin clean and supple.

Shea Gentle Toner: To complete the cleansing routine and it really does complete it for me, my skin is left feeling super clean, smooth and radiant – at this point my complexion is looking fresh and bright.

Comforting Oil: I am a complete advocate for oils, I love the silky texture on the skin and how nourishing they feel. I also think they help make my skin look more glowing. This Comforting Oil does not disappoint – this is now a firm favourite. I love the afterglow it gives and my skin seems to drink it up, what’s not to love!

Any tips or tricks for using the oil? I love that this product is also multi-tasking – you can use alone or combined with your usual moisturiser day and night. I use at night too and I awake in the morning with baby soft skin. I have also been known to apply during the day to perk my skin up.

Shea Comforting Cream Moisturiser: L’Occitane do this in a Light and Ultra Cream version, the lighter version is suitable for normal to combination skin and the Ultra Cream is for dry to very dry skin. I‘ve been going between the two depending on how my skin feels. The Ultra Cream has a thick texture (which I like), whereas the light version as you would expect is more creamy – both are lovely and leave my skin feeling supple.

Overall Review:  I would like to take this opportunity share my experience of L’Occitane’s Aromachologie range as they kindly sent me these products too – two words for this range, ‘absolutely heavenly’. The products really are as described – soothing and relaxing. In this very dull month that is January; taking some me time has been wonderful.

Finally, Relaxing Body Cream, Relaxing Shower Gel, and Relaxing Bath Salts: These are made with essential oils and the smell really does transport you somewhere else and leave you fully relaxed and ready to beat January head on – highly recommend trying these for yourselves.

Try it for yourself and shop L’Occitane.
