Calling all detox dieters, if you’ve completed your dry January challenge, congratulations! What better way to celebrate your achievement than sipping on a well-deserved cocktail? We’ve scoured the internet to bring you 5 fun, fabulous AND easy cocktails recipes guaranteed to brighten the month ahead.

Purple Gin

Impress your friends and Instagram followers with this adorable purple potion. The secret behind the lovely lilac colouring? Every cocktail connoisseur is raving about butterfly pea flower powder which is a natural ingredient that gives cocktails like this their purple hue. A definite yes for any gin lover, add a shot of gin, a shot of chambord, a splash of lemon juice and the butterfly pea flower powder to taste before topping up with sparkling water. Serve in globe shaped glasses with lots of ice, lemon slices and fresh raspberries for a fun, fruity drink.

Strawberry Daiquiri

For a boozy smoothie try this rosy red strawberry daiquiri with crushed ice for a slushie with a kick. This cocktail is bursting with berry flavour, just mix pureed fresh strawberries, a shot of rum, a squeeze of fresh lime and lots of ice before blending. Serve in your fave cocktail glass with a berry rimmed edge and brightly coloured flowers and straws.

Classic Mojito

Mojito’s come in all shapes and sizes, but we think nothing beats the original recipe for this fresh, minty tipple. In a tall glass add a teaspoon of brown sugar, a handful of fresh mint leaves, a generous squeeze of half a lime and a splash of soda water. Stir roughly to release the natural mint flavour and dissolve the sugar. Add in your shot of light rum, lots of ice cubes and top up with more soda water. Throw in the squeezed half a lime and decorate with a sprig of mint for a drink bursting with greens – that’s got to be healthy right?

Pink Paloma

Think pink with this candyfloss coloured cocktail that Barbie herself would adore! This zingy refreshment is made by pouring 5oz of lime juice and 2oz of tequila over ice, adding a pinch of salt before topping up with grapefruit soda. Garnish your glass with a large wedge of grapefruit and enjoy the tangy flavours of this sweet looking, sour tasting creation.

Fast forward to July with a chilled glass of Italian Aperol Spritz. This sunset orange beverage has us dreaming of warmer weather and exotic holiday destinations. Add a scoop of ice to a wine glass and pour in a 2 parts Aperol, 3 parts prosecco and 1 part soda water and a slice of fresh orange for the perfect blend of bitter citrus, gentian and rhubarb flavour with all the fizz of your fave bottle of bubbly.
