Cannes Film Festival 2016: Best Dressed List

A can’t-miss event in the film industry’s calendar, the opulent Cannes Film Festival has returned, sending the fashion world into a frenzy of excitement.

Enticing Hollywood’s finest to the stunning surroundings of the French Rivera, the grand event premieres hundreds of award-winning films and has extravagant red carpet line-ups to match.  Join us as we round up the most memorable looks from just a few of the A-list attendees…

1. Bella Hadid

Recently awarded ‘Model of Year’ for 2016 at just 19 years old, it’s not hard to see why Bella completely bedazzled the red carpet in a Roberto Cavalli couture gown. The devastatingly gorgeous dress featured intricate gold lace and sequin embellishments and was accessorised with an exquisite De Grisogono diamond choker and bracelets.

‘Cafe Society’ premiere and opening ceremony, 11 May.

2. Amal Clooney

Sending us into a romantic daze, Hollywood’s most handsome couple graced the line-up but all eyes were on Amal in her atelier Versace asymmetric gown. Not overly saccharine but delightfully sweet, the pastel lemon dress boasted a silk chiffon train. She completed the look with delicate Cartier earring and tumbling curls.

‘Money Monster’ premiere, 12 May.

3. Blake Lively

Resembling Disney’s Princess Elsa in her sparkling sky blue Versace ballgown, Blake proved exactly why she’s red carpet royalty. The second time around mummy-to-be proudly displayed her bump for the occasion and it’s clear pregnancy suits her. The beautifully beaded asymmetric number featured a dramatic thigh high spilt and show-stopping train which delicately floated behind her.

‘The BFG’ premiere, 14 May.

4. Kendall Jenner

Gothic Victorian glamour with a touch of risqué springs to mind when admiring Kendall’s Roberto Cavalli gown. The intricate dress perfectly aligns with the Cavalli aesthetic with intertwined gold and velvet embroidered snakes surfacing the silk tulle. Her slicked back hair and statement Chopard chandelier earrings added more drama to the sheer look.

‘Mal de Pierres’ premiere, 15 May.

5. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

The supermodel and her signature pursed lips made their Cannes debut, gracing the red carpet in an Alexandre Vauthier gown. Displaying lavish ruffles, pleats and blossoming floral details, the majestic halter-neck design magnified her statuesque silhouette. Rosie rounded off her rouge ensemble with a matching siren lipstick and a selection of Chanel diamonds.

‘The Unknown Girl’ premiere, 18 May.
