Who wouldn’t want to wake up to a big stack of fluffy pancakes in the morning, especially if they are served by your bedside?  If chocolate is the food of love, then serve these up warm, with a side of fresh fruit and cream and watch your partners face fill with joy when you surprise them. How to make:

  • mix together milk, flour, eggs, and a little vanilla extract (for sweetness)
  • Leave the batter to sit in the fridge while you chop up strawberries, bananas etc
  • Melt a lump of butter in a frying pan over medium heat and spoon a ladle full of mixture into the centre of the pan.
  • You want the mix to be slightly thicker to make the American style pancakes. (repeat until all the batter is all gone)
  • Finally, stack up your pancakes, and pour over some chocolate sauce or Nutella and top with the freshly cut berries.
