Dressing-up Downton

As Downton Abbey enters its fifth season as well as the roaring 20s, we’re inspired by the show’s superbly detailed ensembles as we look to the styling of  the impossibly polished Lady Mary, wonderfully frivolous Rose and ever-intriguing Edith.

Is there anything better than cosying up with Downton Abbey + tea + biscuits on a Sunday night? Not only is the award-winning show supremely comforting and an entertaining look into history,  it’s also inspired us sartorially. Of all period fashion, the easy, confident glamour of the 20s is more than easy to love – loose unconstrained dresses, elegant midi heels, and plenty of sparkle on gowns, headpieces and jewellery. It’s no wonder the era never loses its appeal.
