The Oscars 2017: Red Carpet Trend Round Up

The stars showed off their style credentials last night as they wowed at the 89th Annual Academy Awards. From glamorous gold gowns to princess-like tulle, we round up the leading trends from this year’s Oscars red carpet…

Good as Gold

Bringing a taste of true Hollywood glamour to the red carpet, gold was the recurring colour of the night. From Emma Stone in Givenchy Haute Couture, to Elizabeth banks in Elie Saab, The Oscars attendees sure didn’t disappoint in upping the award season style stakes.

Add a touch of shimmer to your wardrobe and shop our gold gowns.

On-Trend in Tulle

Both Kate Bosworth in J. Mendel, and Felicity Jones in Dior opted for show-stopping princess-style dresses. Keeping it sweet in pastel shades, these fairy-tale gowns offered viewers a dose of sweet yet stylish red carpet glamour.

Monochrome Tones

Looking chic in opposite hues, Brie Larson and Karlie Kloss kept their colour palette choice classic in black and white. Whilst Brie’s Oscar de la Renta velvet ruffled gown showcased pure va-va-voom, Karlie looked sleek and stylish in her white Stella McCartney number.

Ladies in Red

Proving that this stand-out colour will always come up trumps, both Olivia Munn and Best Supporting Actress Viola Davies stunned in crimson. With one in a high neck maxi and the other sporting a cold-shoulder silhouette, both actresses worked this colour in contrasting silhouettes.
