The Super Bowl

The American football frenzy is back with the 50th Super Bowl National Football League championship game. Get your feet up and popcorn at the ready as the Carolina Panthers play the Denver Broncos to decide the league champion for the 2015 NFL season. Even if you’re not a football fan, tune in for the legendary Super Bowl half time show where Coldplay will take to the stage alongside rumoured guest stars including Beyoncé, Rihanna and Bruno Mars.

Chinese New Year

The biggest Chinese New Year celebrations outside of Asia will take place in London’s Chinatown. Expected to start at 10am, celebrate the Year of the Monkey as the parade travels along Charing Cross Road and Shaftesbury Avenue in the West End before reaching Chinatown. This exciting annual occasion is one you won’t want to miss.

Fashion Weeks

We’re starting to prep for spring but the fashion world is one step ahead with designers showcasing their new autumn/winter 2016 collections to the world’s fashion elite throughout February. Fashion week fun will kick off in NYC on the 10th before landing in London on the 19th, heading to Milan on the 24th and finally finishing in Paris on March 2nd.

Brixton Pop Feast Supperclub

The second edition of Pop Feast will return to Brixton this February. The collaborative supper club shows off the culinary skills from three of Pop Brixton’s best food traders, this year’s offering blends Basque tapas, fiery Mexican and delicate Japanese cuisine from the kitchens of Donostia Social Club, Marina Sabina and Kyonocha. Each chef will create two courses and will pair one dish with a special tipple to show how these three styles of food can come together to create a tasting menu like no other.

Fashion Rules: Restyled at Kensington Palace

Take a look back at the clothes worn by the Royal Family’s leading ladies in their fashion heyday as an all-new dress display opens within the Fashion Rules exhibition at Kensington Palace. Delve deeper into the wardrobes of Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Margaret and Princess Diana and see how they reflected the trends of the day and negotiated dressing fashionably within the ‘rules’ of a royal wardrobe.

Zoolander 2

Start practising your best ‘Blue Steel’ poses now as the long-awaited sequel to 2001’s Zoolander hits cinemas this month. Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson will reprise their roles as top male models, Derek Zoolander and Hansel McDonald who have been hired by Interpol to infiltrate the new and different realm of high fashion as the world’s most beautiful celebrities are systematically assassinated. The fashion satire will feature a host of celebrity guest stars including Kim and Kanye West, Penelope Cruz, Justin Bieber and more.

Awards Season

We predict plenty of glitz and glamour from our favourite A-listers over the next four weeks as Awards Season gets underway. Starting the jam-packed month of prestigious events are the BAFTAs on on the 14th, followed by the Grammys on the 15th, the Brit Awards on the 24th and last but not least the highly anticipated Oscars on the 28th.

Celebrating Charlotte Brontë 1816-1855

Highlighting the life and achievements of author Charlotte Brontë 200 years after her birth; the exhibition held at the National Portrait Gallery will be showcasing her classic paintings. With beautiful memorabilia from the Brontë Parsonage Museum, the display aims to bring Charlotte’s personality and work back to life.

The 1975’s New Album

Popular four piece British alternative rock band the 1975, who rose to fame with smash hit ‘Chocolate’, are due to release their second album, ‘I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It’, this month. Expect to hear funk-laced and pop-infused tracks alongside their signature dramatic guitar-driven sound when the new record is released on February 26th.
