London Fashion Week

Goodbye New York and Good Morning London; in full swing since Friday and parading true British style, Fashion Week in the capital has commenced. Star-studded ‘FROWs’, magnificent models and killer catwalk shows have taken over social media platforms as well as the city. Stay tuned for our LFW SS16 trend round-up, coming soon to The Daily Debrief.

Rugby World Cup

Rugby World Cup

Sporting a slightly different look to London Fashion Week, Friday evening also saw the opening ceremony of the Rugby World Cup 2015. Kicking off the fixtures, the first match between England and Fiji was held at Twickenham and saw a 35 -11 win to England. In line with this, our Big & Tall range caters for sizes up to XXXXXL and a size 15 shoe; so if you’re built like the rugby boys, this one’s for you.

Cara Delevinge

‘Pan’ Film Premiere

The film premiere of ‘Pan’ took place yesterday in Leicester Square, London. Directed by Joe Wright, who also directed Atonement and Pride and Prejudice, comes the new live-action feature of the J.M. Barrie classic. Putting a modern day muse (is this what you mean?) on the tale, the film has been set as a prequel and sees Peter in his bleak London orphanage before being whisked to Neverland to discover his true destiny. Due to arrive in cinemas from October 16; the film includes actors Hugh Jackman, Amanda Seyfried and Cara Delevingne.

67th Primetime Emmy Awards

Red carpets, ball gowns, speeches, actors and awards; of course it had to be the 67th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. The occasion marks the best in the U.S. prime time television programming during the past year. Aside from the stunning rainbow selection of floor sweepers; the focus of the night was firmly on the cast of ‘Game of Thrones’ who set a new record by winning 12 awards, including outstanding drama series.

Downton Abbey

Downton Abbey

Also nominated for outstanding drama series at the Emmys, last night the first episode of the 6th and final series of Downton Abbey aired. Set in 1925, following the continual turmoil and drama of the Crawley family during the changing socio-economic circumstances and technological advances of the era; the finale is definitely not one to be missed.
