Monday Musings: Things we’re loving this week…

From must-reads to must-buys, here is our list of everything you need to do, wear and see now.

April Fools

The start of April can only mean one thing: April Fools. It’s the one day of the year you can get away with playing pranks and jokes on your colleagues, friends and family so get set for plenty of laughs, just make sure it’s not you who’s the butt of the joke! For a more family-friendly April Fools, grab some toys and board games for fun for all the family.

Hooray for Bank Holiday

We don’t know about you but we can’t wait for the long bank holiday weekend, the first of 2015. Whatever you’ve got planned for the long weekend, whether it be catching up on sleep or jetting off on a mini break, make sure you’re prepared for anything with our guide on what to pack and wear this Easter.

A Royal Welcome

The most highly anticipated baby of the year is due in mid-to-late April as Kate Middleton draws to the end of her pregnancy. Whether it’s a little prince or princess, we’re sure little George will be delighted with his new playmate. Stay tuned for our round-up of Kate Middleton’s best maternity moments on The Daily Debrief later this week.

Mad Men

Looking for something cultural to do this Easter weekend? Why not check out new exhibition, ‘Mac Conner: A New York Life’, at the House of Illustration, London, from April 1. One of the original ‘Mad Men’, Conner created captivating advertising and editorial illustrations in the 1940s-1960s. Described as the real-life Don Draper, he worked for major clients such as Ford and United Airlines, helping to shape the image of postwar America.

Dior and I

While families may be rushing out to watch the new Cinderella film in cinemas, all the fashionistas out there will only have one film on their must-see list: Dior and I. Documenting the creation of Raf Simons’ first haute couture collection as Dior’s new artistic director, the film provides an exclusive, behind-the-scenes insight into the Christian Dior fashion house. From initial ideas to the creation of a breath-taking couture collection, this film is guaranteed to make your jaw drop in awe.

What could be cuter than a room full of adorable piglets? At London’s first ever pop-up pignic event, you can expect a night of food, drinks and pig education. Running from May 21 to May 23, tickets are randomly allocated so make sure you register your interest online. We’re certainly squeeling in excitement!
